To make sure your voice is heard
-
Democracy is THE defining value of the United States
-
It affects your daily life: potholes in the street, local zoning laws, development projects, parks and green spaces…
-
Knowledge is power. How does someone’s idea become a law? It starts at home.
-
Be the change. You, yes you, can have an impact.
-
Local politics set precedence for what happens at the state and national levels
-
Hold politicians accountable

Local elections are held in odd numbered years. The Town Board meets every first and third Thursday of the month at 7pm at Town Hall (1 Town Hall Drive). These meetings are open to the public.
The Town of Ulster is in the heart of the Hudson Valley within easy reach of the Catskill Mountains and is known as the “Business Hub” of Ulster County. But the Town of Ulster is far more than strip malls and car dealerships. It stretches from the Hudson to the Rondout, like a necklace around the City of Kingston, and incorporates such diverse areas as the Kingston-Ulster Airport, Seed Song Farm, and the historic hamlet of Eddyville, where the D&H canal reached tidewater at the Rondout Creek. We have two beautiful parks - Robert Post Park and Charles Rider Park -that offer pavilions for private events and beautiful views of the Hudson River, and three smaller parks for sporting activities and enjoying the great outdoors. Conveniently located, we have easy access to skiing, fishing, boating, hiking, theatre, music, historical sites, shopping, fall colors, summer festivals, county fairs and much, much more.
